Writing daily

I envy writers who not only have the time to write all day, but also the fortitude. I have given myself a goal of 500 words a day, which if I was writing adult novels would mean I would take a whole year to write a novel. Then on top of that, there is the layout, printing, cover design, editing, and so on and so on.

But this goal works for me. Takes me three months to write a book, more or less, and as the editing and publication are chugging away in the back ground, I get started on the next one.

I always have an idea of what the story is going to be about, but I never know quite where it is going, and that is the beauty of being a writer. It's as much a mystery to me as it is to you, the reader.
